I'm Olea.
I’m a researcher, storyteller, and problem-solver based in Berlin. I‘m curious about designing communities that are ecologically and socially sustainable.
About me.
Trained as a social scientist and ethnographer, I use a broad palette of digital storytelling and qualitative methods to deliver rich analysis.
I‘ve spent years working with community-based sustainability projects around the globe. In 2019, I lived and worked in ecological communities throughout Mexico and then wrote a dissertation about it. I’ve also shared my work in public lectures, community workshops, blog posts, and podcasts.

- I’m an experienced, hands-on researcher, and have worked on archival and field-based projects in the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East. In 2019 and 2021, I received awards for an in-depth qualitative research project based in Mexico.
- I provide award-winning insights. my work has been supported by the Tinker Foundation, CEU Budapest Foundation, and the Open Society University Network (OSUN).

I’m an experienced educator & facilitator, from teaching business English in Germany to courses on agriculture and anthropology in the US, Hungary, and Austria
